R[ECO]NNECTING TEMUAN

By playing roles as a citizen, an activist and an architecture student, I am looking at a group of an indigenous tribe in Malaysia, (also known as 'Orang Asli') who are at risk of being displaced from their ancestral land. This thesis project is about developing a series of design research approaches in order to explore how the issues can be converted into ways that the local public can understand and start a discussion regarding the matter among themselves. Through exploration of methodologies, the understanding about the community and the issues will be the main focus of this study.
